Emmanuel Probably in the same order of magnitude as the fixed fee they take on each order ($5 - $8). Dashers are guaranteed $10/hour, but basically they get $5 per order + occasional tips it seems.

Emmanuel Wikipedia says they have 350 employees but doesn't give a source. The company is growing rapidly. They have more than 130 open positions on their career page

Emmanuel LinkedIn says they have 1900 employees, but it probably includes some of the "Dashers" (people who make the delivery) who add DoorDash in their resume. So not reliable.

Emmanuel "While comparable metrics for other competitors are unknown, GrubHub leads the industry with just under $3 billion gross merchandise volume and $500 million revenue in 2016, on more than 8 million average monthly orders." Based on this, we can estimate that the average order amount on DoorDash is also about $30. So we divide the total volume of orders from the other submodel by 30 to get the number of transactions here.

Emmanuel To give a point of comparison, in March 2017, Postmakes (one of its competitors) had an annualized revenue run rate of 1 billion gross volume (250 million in commissions).

Emmanuel Generally speaking, Postmates is comparable to DoorDash as they seem to have the same kind of market share in main cities (while GrubHub is bigger and communicated on $200 million revenue for Q4 2017)
